That cloudy film along the edges is biofilm, and it sits in grooves a toothbrush bristle is physically too wide to enter. Scrubbing harder doesn’t reach it — it scratches the plastic, and scratched plastic holds even more of it.
ClearWave fills with plain tap water. A 48 kHz transducer vibrates that water 48,000 times a second, forming microscopic bubbles that collapse against every surface at once: inside the grooves, under the ridges, down in the molar wells. A UV light runs inside the closed lid — press M to add it to any cycle.

Before you order
Do I need cleaning tablets?
No. It runs on plain tap water, and that is the point — the cleaning is done by the vibration, not by a chemical. Tablets exist and other brands sell them by subscription. You can add one if you like the smell. You will never need one.
Will it damage my aligners?
There is no brushing and no abrasive. That is why it reaches into the grooves without scratching — and scratches are what make the film worse, because a scratched surface holds more of it.
How often should I run it?
Once a day is plenty for most people. Aligner wearers tend to run it while they eat, which is 20 minutes their aligners are out anyway.
Is it loud?
It hums, the way an electric toothbrush charger hums. You can hold a conversation next to it. We are not going to print a decibel figure we have not measured.
Will it work on my dentures / night guard / mouthguard?
Yes to all three, plus Hawley, Essix and Vivera retainers, Invisalign and other clear aligners, and bite splints. The 300 ml basin is the reason a full upper-and-lower set lies flat instead of standing on edge. Off duty it does rings, watches, glasses and earrings.
What actually arrives, and when?
The unit, the removable stainless steel basin, a US mains adapter and the manual. It ships from our US warehouse and arrives in 5-10 days , tracked, with the tracking number sent the moment it leaves.
One thing worth saying plainly: it ships in the manufacturer’s box, which carries their name and not ours. Ivelora is new and does not have its own packaging run yet. The machine inside is the one on this page.

Fair question, and the honest answer is: the ultrasound is the same physics. A transducer vibrates water, bubbles form and collapse, and the collapse is what lifts deposits off a surface. That part is not proprietary to anyone.
